Ijebu-Jesa Day

Ijebu-Jesa Day was the second recorded community day celebration, and it took place in November of 1991. The Ijebu-Jesa Unions’ conference decided to organize the event. A planning committee was put in place with Prince ‘Tunde Olashore as its chair, and, due to date conflicts, it took about four years to plan. They wanted the majority of people to be able to attend. Ijebu-Jesa Day was meant to celebrate the founding of the town as well as its progress.
