Jeanne and Barbara were both passionate creatives. Jeanne was an avid writer of poems, manuscripts, diaries, and journal articles. She often wrote about personal struggles of being a mom, wife, and lesbian, as well as social issues and political commentary. Barbara was a jack-of-all-trades who worked in songwriting, painting, and woodworking. In this collection, there are often themes of struggles, frustrations, and hardships. There are also themes of love and courage. Through Jeanne and Barbara's art, a balance of these themes is created to show the true life of LGBTQ+ relationships in the 1970's.
