Library workers bring in books to the new library-learning center. Books from four different locations were brought to the new building. There was only one elevator, partial lighting, and no air conditioning.
The library rented a building on Sheridan Road for book storage during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The shelves in the rented building were made of wooden planks and cinderblocks.
