Daniel writes about arriving in Panama and about some of the initial work he did. He describes some of the wildlife of Panama, as well as his journey from New York. He describes getting sick on the ship, and mentions that they stopped in Charleston, South Carolina. He reminds his mother to tell Sherwood to sell his car.
