I attended my first Gen Con while it was at Parkside. I believe that was back in 1981. Later, I attended UWP, studying economics, before transferring to UW-Madison in 1984. I also worked at the Parkside Ranger, both as an editor and a cartoonist, where my comic strip WILD LIFE ran. I now work full-time in the tabletop industry, having illustrated thousands of cards for the D&D parody game Munchkin, as well as being part of the team that created Apples to Apples. I’ve illustrated many, many other tabletop games during my career, including the Kobolds Ate My Baby roleplaying game. My comic strip DORK TOWER centers around gamers, and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. It was one of the very first webstrips, and features the character Carson the Muskrat - a holdover from my old WILD LIFE strip. DORK TOWER was also published in Dragon Magazine, when it was a print publication. Obviously, I’ve close ties to UWP, and I’d be happy to help with this project if needed.
