McIntoshwas sentenced to 18 yearsin prison, Gomaz to 9. Jason Ostman, who died on Jan. 3, 1994 due to LSDrelatedseizures, was a 20 year-oldJunior majoring in Physicsat the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. His deathoccurred after aNew Year'sEve party. Thetrial of McIntosh and Gomaztook place in August andSeptember of 1994. Prosecution witnesses testifiedthat LSD caused Ostman's seizures, and ultimatelyhis death. The defensecited that there was nomedicalliterature to supportthis theory. McIntosh sold the LSD to Gomaz, who used $50 from Ostman to buy the drug for him. The two defendants were convicted on Friday, Sept. 2, 1994. Gilbert Ostman, Jason's adoptive father, spoke prior to the sentencing on Nov. II. He asked Judge Michael Fisher to give the ifllwIIJlftRIl1illllll.' maximum sentence of 20 years. Gomaz's attorney, Public Defender Labish Bergovoy, recommended a five-year sentence for the 17 year-old. Gomaz, a juvenile, had been waived into adult court. McIntosh's counsel, Douglas Henderson, asked for a 10 year sentence for his client. McIntosh has a criminal record including robbery, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a child, theft, battery and disorderly conduct. Assistant District Attorney Bruce Becker asked that the maximum sentence be given to McIntosh, and a "substantial" sentence be given to Gomaz. Judge Fisher told the court that education and severe penalties are the only way to help save people like Jason Ostman. "Ifthere weren't people selling drugs, Jason Ostman would be alive," Fisher said. Parkside student's letter causes investigation byTabitha Brown StaffWriter Inresponse to a full page ad which ran in a September'94 issue of The Ranger News, Lisa McGahan, a University of Wisconsin-Parks ide student visited Kenosha Plasma Donor Center as a prospectivedonor. She states that her experience oneSaturday in October was "humiliating, inappropriate, uncomfortable, and unprofessional." McGahan said that the staff behaved in an unprofessional and rude manner. In addition to the clericalstaff, McGahan had an unpleasant experiencewith the doctor. She states that "the doctordid not introduce himself, did not wear a nametag, and did not have any medical certification within sight." McGahan said that the doctor"used extremely unprofessional terms to describebody parts, body functions, and sexual activities."She also states that while he discussed the origin ofAIDS, he "touched his genital area to further demonstrate the point." Todd Rasor, Manager of Interstate Blood and Plasma, Inc. (associated with Kenosha Plasma Donor Center), stated that he wasn't aware of any ofthe incidents which took place that Saturday because he wasn't working that day. Rasor also stated that there seemed to be "a chain of events that happened in that one circumstance" which included an employee that they have let go. What pleased Rasor was that he did receive a response which was the only way that he would know what went on when he wasn't there. He feels that McGahan's response was "a step in the right direction for the center." Rasor says that if McGahan would have walked away and not said anything the problem would have continued. Rasor further states that "a lot of the experience she had centered around the doctor." The FDA "Offensive" mascots. in a PCAge byCheryl Montgomery StaffWriter ASoup & Substance lecture :as held on Nov. 9 titled, Redskinsand Warriors: Ilonoringor Offending Native Jmericans?" The speaker was acquelineBoynton, a COOperatingattorney with the AmericanCivil Liberties Union. In 1991 came her first case as a cooperating attorney ~th the ACLU, challenging a Ogoofa Native American - used by a non-native school. Boynton described some of these stereotypical logos: leaping savages, headdressed with hook noses and spears. The logo of a high school in Milton, WI, was challenged by a former high school student's mother on the basis that the behavior it evoked violated Wisconsin statute 118.13 by being detrimental to her child's access to education. The school board gave the complaint little consideration and voted to maintain the logo; the decision was upheld on appeal to the Department of Public Instruction. This is all too common a scene in high schools and colleges across the country where racist presentations of Native Americans are supported overwhelmingly by white communities as historically relevant, much too expensive to remove from requires that doctors use basic terminology so that the patient can relate to it. Rasor said that the doctor, who was foreign, "appeared to use language in a manner which is beyond what is considered acceptable." Because this matter had been discussed with the doctor on one other occasion the center thought it best to let him go. According to Rasor, McGahan "had a bad experience which was an unfortunate circumstance which [he says] wasn't a true representation ofthe center." Rasor contends that the matters described in the letter were discussed and corrected because they let the doctor go and put their certificate on the wall. Rasor states "we are open to anyone's concerns and are willing to make corrections." McGahan states that the "visit that should have been beneficial to [her] and others was, at the very least, disappointing." the schools, in keeping with their First Amendment right to free speech and even being honorable to the "noble savage." Ms. Boynton said that there are schools that are making a concerted effort to remedy any offense their logos may have had to the indigenous population in their schools and the surrounding areas by educating themselves on the diversity issue, removing and replacing the logo and informing other schools of their action and reasoning. Audience members asked Attorney Boyton if removal of logos offensive to Indians meant that the Vikings and Midgets would be protesting next. This makes it strikingly apparent that information, respect and cultural sensitivity are needed in academia, the media and in our society. Credit cards· beware Credit card issuers nationwide have found a new target in their quest for members: college students. Although having a credit card can be a worthwhile and rewarding possession, the Office of Commissioner of Banking cautions students that not all card offers are worth your time or money. "If students decide they want to open a line of credit, then they should take some time to study the offers," said Commissioner of Banking Richard L. Dean. "Two credit card companies can offer the same amount of credit, with no annual fee and identical interest rates, yet the offers can be vastly different. By taking a little time to study the offers, students can determine which one is best for them." Consider the following when choosing a credit card: Don't accept a credit card over the telephone. State law limits interest rates on credit cards issued by Wisconsin Financial Institutions to 18 percent. Getting one step ahead by The Communication Senior Seminar Class This semester's Communication 495 Senior Seminar class is currently involved in a semester long project aimed at increasing awareness of internships and volunteer work. The class feels that information on available internships is not readily available to all students. As a result, many students are not aware of the potential value of these opportunities. These values include: resume-building, application of course work to practical experience, handson experience, exploring future career opportunities, and making contacts outside the university. To increase the availability of information on internships and volunteer positions, the class is preparing a booklet. This booklet will include reasons for doing internships/volunteer work, and student testimonials. The booklet is being prepared by students, for students. The booklet will be available Monday, Nov. 28 in time for early registration. You can find it in various locations around campus such as the advising center and in each department. This week's volunteer is Joel Dutton. helping 3rd graders with reading and math to designing bulletin boards and grading papers. Cathy Caruso, the teacher he is assigned to, reports how much the children look forward to Mondays when Joel volunteers. She said, "The children just love Joel. From the very first day, they felt comfortable with him. He is very conscientious and has come in extra days to help. Our elementary schools need more positive role models like Joel." Recently, Joel responded to a request for a geometry tutor at Bradford High School. Joel Dutton, a Sparta, WI, native, is a senior geographymajor with an interest in elementary education.In addition to his volunteer work, Joel is a PSGAsenator and is activelyinvolved in Parkside wrestling. Joel has been volunteering three hours everyweek at Stocker Elementary school in Kenosha since school started this fall. Last week two news stories featured drugrelated problems. The stories were on the drug-related arrest ofBrent Moss, and the drugrelated killing ofTyrone Echevarria. Drugs played an important role in these stories. As reported in the Racine Journal Times, Echevarria was advancing on a police officer with a steak knife outside a building on Douglas Avenue (in Racine). Echevarria was attem pting to kick a crack cocaine habit, and like anything else, it was one step forward and five steps back. His family turned him in because they were concerned that he might be using drugs again. They didn't want him killed, just captured. He had five kids, and they were concerned about his erratic behavior over the past few days. If you are wondering, "Why does Barb seem to know so much about this man?", you are very perceptive. I knew this man pretty well. My mother and I met him at the dog track, and he became a good friend of my mother's. He told her about his past. When the carnage (from a Democrat's viewpoint) was over, the Republicans had gained 52 seats and 230-204 majority. So he works his way over and says, "Hey girls, do you want to trip the lights fantastic?" "No," I replied. "Why not?" he asked. "Because we're talking here," I responded. "Oh, what cha talkin' bout?" he asked. "None of your business," my friend responded. Then, I turned away from him and resumed my conversation with my friend. For the next half hour he kept sticking his head into our conversation. He just wouldn't leave. (Here's a free tip guys, harassment isn't the way to pick up a girl.) So, I walked to the ladies' room to get away from him. On my way a guy bumps into me realiy hard and says, -os, Hi. How have you been doing?" "I don't think we know each other," I said. "Sure you do. We met at Donna's party. This night was going to hell in a handbasket and quick. As the night grew older, so did the age of some of the pick up lines I was hearing. They were: "Do you come here often?" I thought these mature adults could come up with something a little more original that that. I began to wonder why the men who I found to be the least attractive happen to be the ones in the bar who were asking all the women to dance. The good-looking ones just huddled in a group and . never ventured outward. Another phenomenon, was that the closer the clock grew to 2:00 a.m., the more frequent the pick up lines were spouted. What a bizarre evening. I spent half my night deflecting the come-on lines of short (shorter than me), Woody Allen types. I was glad to go home. bombs, another to legislate. b. Will the Republicans playa game of pay back and unleash an investigative The next day I began to wonder if any other women or men have either experienced bad pick-up lines such as those already mentioned or, even worse, have possibly been responsible for using them on someone else. So I began to ask around Parkside. I approached guys first, of course. They admitted that they had used some pretty lame pick up lines in bars before but, acting very embarrassed, would not divulge their secrets. So I tried again with another group of guys. Still, no one would talk. Then it hit me. These guys weren't drunk. Let's face it, that's when our inhibitions are lowered and our libidos are raised. Which is when the best/worst pickup lines make their debut. Next, I asked a couple of groups of girls. The most common lines they admitted to hearing were: "Can I buy you a drink?" "Are you from around here?" and the ever popular, "What's your sign?" One guy, a friend of mine, admitted to using one that I'd never heard before, "Are your legs tired?" "No," responds the girl. "Because you've been running through my mind all night," says he. I couldn't believe how corny that sounded. Still, it was original. I guess there's a lesson to be learned in all ofthis. If you're looking to meet someone in a bar, you had better think ofsomething to say that's not played out. And God forbid, don't wear a shiny disco shirt that's swimming in Old Spice. From a woman's perspective, I think the most effective thing to say is simply, "Hello". Smiling and good eye contact are subtle and alluring ways to catch a person's attention, as well. Have fun and be yourself. Try dispensing with the phony pick-up lines altogether and just act like a real person. Well, fellow tavern travellers I'll be seeing you in the trenches. They must, I repeat MUST, stop the petty partisan bickering that had marred this last congressional session, and start working together with the remaining Democrats to form a workable coalition. Noone, not you, I, or Congress, can afford to do everything that they want to do. It is up to the individual to decide what needs outweigh what wants, and to work on how to pay for them. Itis the same principle for Congress. They must decide on what MUST be done, and do it. Otherwise, the Congress will continue to be the least respected group of people in America. I have a saying that should be put on every Congressman, Representative, and Governor's desk. Itis "the pork stops here." No more pork barrel politics, guys. Start making priorities, and stick to them. Ifthe Congress has a problem, perhaps they should talk to me. So far, I have managed to mostly pay my bills while workingtwo jobs and going to school full time. If! can do this on approximately $11,000 a year, I am sure that the Congress, ifthey work hard enough on compromise, cutting waste, and stopping new pork barrel projects can do the same thing. Itmay very well be 'a good day to be a Republican' to quote good old Tommy himself. The question is, will it stay a good month, year, and beyond for Republicans, or will the populist third party finally get offthe ground in 1996 as many people get disgusted with politics as usual???? One Liberal's Opinion by Barb Churchill Ranger columnist Good afternoon, all you loyal Ranger News readers (all two of you). So, what did you think oflast Tuesday's election results? If you are an independent liberal, like I am, you are probably pretty depressed by now. Not only did Tommy Thompson win by a landslide as I predicted, but Barca also went down. Almost all offices that were contested statewide went Republican. Not only that, with the exceptions ofthe places that were having gun referendums (Kenosha and Milwaukee spring to mind immediately), the turnout was only fair despite better than average weather. One of my friends didn't vote. When I asked him why not, he said that he 'didn't come from a voting family.' Well, I guess that the nonvoters ruled again. I for one find it hard to believe that anyone believes that the economy is getting better. Most ofthe people I know work more than one job to support themselves if they are on their own. Even ifthey are still living at home, most of them work. The Democrats and Independents out there traditionally support working people, and the Republicans support the rich and big money interests. But, did this mean that he should be killed, because he had made a few mistakes? I think not. I am not blaming the police. During an adrenaline rush, anything can happen. They may have been intending to wound him only, and ended up killing him instead. However, none of this had to happen. Something is very wrong with society in general, if a man who is trying to get help dies because he can't admit that he has a problem or he will go in jail. This man didn't want to go back to jail, because he had five kids which he was attempting to support, and lets face it, he had had enough ofjail. The thorny problem is this: how much ofhis behavior was intensified by societal stresses, and how much of his behavior was caused by his own problems? In other words, who gets the blame, and how much? This is a very hard question. I am not sure how to answer it, but I will say that I think that considering the fact that Echevarria was trying to get off of the drugs, it is especially tragic that his death occurred then. The Brent Moss problem pales in comparison. First of all, the facts are not all in. Moss might have had the cocaine, but why? Hopefully, the intent to deliver charge was only because he didn't want to admit that it was for himself. He still has an excellent chance to play in the NFL, and become a star. He is an outstanding running back who has On the matter of too much space Some interest has arisen over what would seem to be extra space surrounding an ad that has run at various times over the course ofthe semester. As explained to one or two individuals that have recently questioned the ad and its placement, it is, in fact, a full page ad placed according to the wishes of the advertiser. What looks like extra space was paid for as well as the text. The advertiser feels that by having a large amount of space surrounding a relatively small ad, more attention will be drawn towards the ad as a whole. This approach seems to be somewhat successful. -NickZahn college football. He can still become an NFL star. It is disheartening that this would happen now, on the verge of the college bowls, and I for one find it disappointing to say the least. Hopefully, Moss will still have his career left. It is a shame that this happened, but at least he didn't die, like Echevarria did. I support drug legalization, for the simple reason that neither of these things wonld have happened were drugs legal or at least not considered a criminal offense (decriminalization). In Echevarria's case, he would have legally been able to get help for his drug problem, and so wouldn't have necessarily fallen through the cracks of the legal/judicial system. In Moss's case, being busted for cocaine possession/intent to deliver(?) would never have happened. It would be a non-issue. IfMoss were supplying drugs, (not that he is; this is a rhetorical question) he would be taxed legally, just as in any other legitimate business. I don't approve of drugs, but legalization is the only way. Otherwise, life will continue as it is in America. People will continue to be afraid to step outside of their own homes. People will continue to be busted that didn't need to be. People will continue to be killed that didn't need to be. All the tragedy will continue unabated, and everything will continue its downward spiral into black despair. First of all, we give caution to those who want to see Interview because Tom Cruise (Top Gun, ' The Firm) is in it. Although his acting ability is definitely relevant, and such a change of character, his part is quite small. Step aside, Tom, this is a Brad . Pitt movie. Pitt (A River Runs Through It )takes a big step in Interview, facing a lead role and critical pressure, yet he did it well, being very thorough with his part, and making a huge transformation. To complete the set there is movie stud number three, Christian Slater tTrue Romance, Untamed Heart). Slater makes his tiny part as the interviewer quite noticeable, considering he was cast as a substitute after we suffered the loss of River Phoenix, the original interviewer. Moving to the female side of the cast, we have young Kristen Dunst, playing the young vampire Claudia, who makes a huge impact in her first film. We congratulate you, Kristen, you went right for the throat on this one. The movie starts with Slater interviewing the vamped-out Pitt about his life. Pitt plays Lonis, a depressed man who had lost his wife and child, and who wants to die. Then comes Lestat, a vampire played by Cruise, who grants Louis his death wish, along with giving him the eternal life of a vampire. Louis finds he does not like the murderous life of a vampire and has to struggle with survival. Lestat then finds Louie a young vampire companion, Claudia, to put him at ease. Eventually Louis and Claudia ditch Lestat and look for more of their kind. Their ventures continue from there. Overall, the movie is very dark and morbid, with a lot of gore on the side. Just do not expect squirt guns filled with holy water or garlic necklaces, because this movie portrays the realistic side of a vampire. Interview may not be for all audiences, so taking that into consideration, we give it a yellow light. We hope you do not have weak stomachs, future viewers. Lights, Camera, Action... The Specialistv-v» by Dawn Apostoli Ifyou are interested in seeing massive, fiery explosions, a hot pursuit to help a distressed woman seek revenge, and well-thought-out schemes to kill a bunch of killers - then The Specialist may be exactly what you are looking for. But before you go and see this flick, be prepared for a storyline that isn't exceptionally interesting or detailed and acting that is simply only mediocre. The two well-known stars, Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone, share the big screen in this film. Stallone's character, Ray, is a CIA agent who is referred to as "the Specialist". Ray is hired by a young woman, May Monroe (Stone), to assist her in locating the men she saw brutally kill her mother and father when she was just a little girl. Stallone accepts this dangerous yet typical job, and May helps him out by becoming physically close to one of the murderers. She is filled with so much hatred that she will do whatever it takes in order to relieve this pent-up anger, and she believes that getting close to one of the murderers is the only way to destroy him. The killers all seem to be aware of the animosity that May has for them, so they are on the lookout and are out to get Ray (who is constantly hot on their trail). The rest of the story is made up of the confrontations and murders between everyone who is involved in this situation. The enormous eruptions of flammable objects and other methods of killing seem to be going on quite frequently. Stallone is the main leader of all this lively action (with his generous supply of bubbling muscles). Imagine one of his methods of death: his victim swiftly soars through a room of spectators and his head busts through a large glass tank of Sly Stallone + Boy George = Lips Supreme From the book StarMorphspublished by Contemporary Books water. Another one of the bad guys is abruptly ejected into the air and sent whirling away thanks to a rather large explosion which set his car ablaze. As a result of another one of Stallone's game plans, a few men plunge into the ocean along with a portion ofthe concrete building they were in. One of his killings (which involves another explosion, didn't, however, work out quite the way he envisioned becausehe accidentally killed an innocent bystander ... or did he? There is a casket, a funeral, a dead body - but is it who everyone thinks it is? I thought the acting by Stallone and Stone wasn't too terrific. It could have been somewhat better and more realistic; some of their expressions looked a little fake. If you want to pay to see a movie like this, then by all means see The Specialist. Maybe you are more interested in seeing a movie full of battles and numerous people, buildings and automobiles set in flames instead of a movie with quality acting and an in-depth story. The secretary in the front office said I needed an appointment to see them now, she said they were upping the security on my former suburban school. I think that had a great deal to do with the former high school principal who was murdered last year in Milwaukee. I also thought of the metal detectors and the security officers installed in our city schools. I guess I shouldn't be mad, but I suppose it's keeping the children safer. I just wish it wouldn't have to had come to this. It affects the innocent people that try to enter our schools as well. Theory One according to ''V'': When choosing an album to add to your collection, if you are able to sample it beforehand, all you really need to listed to is the first and last tracks. If these two are to your personal liking, it is a pretty good indicator that you will enjoy a satisfactory amount of the entire entity. Skeptical? It is a theory, not a law (although it should be). I tested this theory yet again with a group that I had never heard of before. I surprised myself yet again with my theoretical brilliance. The Group: LiR. The title: "magica, magi co" . Their style was an amalgam of Spin DoctorslExtreme, with interludes ofRed Hot Chili Peppers, creating a sound so strikingly pleasant that the first track alone sucked me "Tannery" is a pleasant combination of clean and dirty guitar with welcome complex rhythms by both drums and bass. "CecilleB. Dumbsh%t" is the fourth Song on the EP, which happens to be twenty minutes long. After the first seven minutes in the song, you will find yourself hitting the fast forward button because the last thirteen minutes are nothing but a feed back circus. Even though the mix on the album leaves something to be desired, Sometime Sweet Susan still comes across as a hard hitting trio. This would urge any listener to turn this album up way past ten, or even better, experience them live. into a psychological addiction. Unlike rap or metal, the bass takes over the heartbeat, bringing it into harmony with nature itself. Sections of piano potentially urge one to world peace. Guitars both wail and exhibit a special artistry that shocked even me. I must admit that the lyrics are a little strange, yet they portray a simplified reality. My point? I liked them. I must give credit where credit is due. They could use some recognition from an individual such as myself. Brent Moss: Another Fallen Star? by Scott Fragale Sports Editor Ithappened once again. Another top athlete has fallen by the wayside. Last week's arrest of University of Wisconsin star Brent Moss for possession of crack cocaine with the intent to deliver, has added another name to the growing list of athletes who for one reason or another has turned to drugs. Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, Roy Tarpley, Dexter Manley, Steve Howe, and Lawrence Taylor. The list seemingly could go on forever. Now we can add Brent Moss to the list of people who may never reach their full potential because of drug use. The warning signs have been there for years. Soon after leading the Badgers to a Big-Ten championship and a victory in the Rose Bowl (Moss was named game MVP), Brent Moss could look forward to his senior season. He could set his sights on another great season for the team, make a reasonable run at the Heisman Trophy, and plan on making a huge salary after being drafted by an N.F.L. team. Well, the Badgers have experienced some tough times due mainly to some key injuries (Moss included). The Heisman was a long-shot at best, and that huge salary has just had some zeros dropped from it. Last November, Moss talked with kids at a community center in Madison speaking about topics such as self-respect, avoiding drugs, and the value of hard work. Looking back, his comments appear to be somewhat hypocritical. After making several appearances of that nature over the last year, the media began to paint a picture of Brent Moss that now seems tainted. These include comments such as "Moss is not only a great athlete, but he's a model citizen as well." "He's giving back to the community." "He's a great role model." Statements of this nature began to circulate amongst the media and created an image of Brent Moss that perhaps overlooked some of his downfalls. Last April, I had the pleasure to do an interview with Moss, and looked forward to the chance to speak with him. He was one of my favorite local athletes, and from everything I had seen and heard of him, I believed he was not only a great athlete but a decent guy as well. Perhaps he was. Perhaps he still is. But some ofthe dealings I had in contacting him for the interview made question the image that the media had created. In my effort to contact Brent, I spoke with one of his cousins in Racine (Moss' hometown), to set up a time when we could conduct the interview. During our conversation, his cousin made a reference about drug use and he implied that Brent would be a part of it. When I actually did the interview with Moss, it was difficult due to the loud music on the other end of the phone. He constantly had to excuse himself from the conversation to try and settle people down who were attending the party. Itwas during this time when other drug related references were uttered in the background of our conversation. Moss told me about the now public 500,000 dollar insurance policy that the University of Wisconsin has on him in case of a career threatening injury. He also mentioned that several N.F.L. teams had offered him millions of dollars to leave school a year early. What Moss didn't mention to me was why he was in Racine for ten days during scheduled class time. When I asked him if the players were able to get jobs for spending money, he said "They take care of us." Itwas at this time that the image I had of him began to tarnish. There are many unanswered questions that remain in Brent Moss' life. His future at UWM appears to be over, although those circumstances could change before the season finale. Other questions still remain. One of which is how no one seems to remember that this isn't the first time that Brent Moss and drug use have been mentioned in the same breath. His history includes possession of marijuana both in high school and in college. After speaking personally with Moss last year and looking at his present situation, wasn't it really just a matter oftime before this story broke. Hopefully for Brent the person, something good will come from this ugly situation, and he'll get his non-football life in order before considering his options of being Brent Moss the athlete. It's what keeps me going," Nolan said. The Raiders have been drawing a nice crowd to keep Nolan going. They've drawn between 1,500 to 2,000 fans a game, but the big games draw up to 5,000 according to Nolan. Nolan attributes his improving performance to the Raiders. "I learned the cornerback position from them," he said. The Raiders played Lake County in the semi-finals of the Midwest League this past weekend. They would play in finals November 19th. Itjust doesn't seem right that Buzz, Nolan, and the Raiders were turned away from the national tournament. '(But we put out a notice to all the teams saying that we'll play anyone," Bezotte said. A friend told Rick Nolan about the Raiders, which was a perfect team for Nolan, who wanted to get involved with a local football team. "Try-outs were very difficult," Nolan said, "Most of the players have great athletic ability and college experience." Well, the 12-0 Racine Raiders allegedly have been shunned from the national tournament for just that reason. The Raiders have been so dominant in the Midwest League that they must have scared the selection committee. One huge reason for their success is 6'5", 280 pound tackle Jim "Buzz" Bezotte. Buzz, if you recall, was the NAJA and NCAA Heavyweight National Champion last year in wrestling. The first wrestler in seven years to accomplish that feat. Rick Nolan, the 1994 KochlHeisman Trophy recipient for Parkside's intramural flag football league, has also taken his skills to the Raiders at the cornerback position. After Bezotte ended his wrestling career with that rare double victory, one reporter wrote that maybe the NFL could use him. This started NFL rumors that Bezotte said were blown way out of proportion. "I had some contact with the 4gers and they offered me a chance to play on their practice squad, but they chose Rangers Fall in Finale kills and 12 digs on the evening.
