Although midwifery has been practiced in Wisconsin for fifteen years, there is no state certification and is even considered a felony in certain states, incJuding Illinois. However, in many states including Wisconsin and California, mid- wifery is legal, complete with hos- pital privileges as necessary. The word midwife means "with woman," and Studey and other midwives across the country are dedicated to taking the fear and mystery out of a perfectly natural phenomenon. UW-Parkside Theatre Opens With Arthur Miller Classic, "All My Sons" money to help support UW-Park- side, is now freed of the financial responsibilities of owning the dorms. Those responsibilities. along with the housing, now be- long to the Board of Regents. Un-. der the Foundation's original ar- rangement, housing revenues should have been enough to pay for the maintenance and repairs that Jaycees' Haunted Dungeon to provide scares and thrills D.A.R.E. program (designed to keep kids off drugs) and several youth-oriented events. Events sponsored by the Jay Cees through- out the year include a beach party featuring surfing and volleyball competitions, a carnival, a dance party featuring non-alcoholic drinks and great music. and a Christ- mas movie (whose admission is a present for needy children). The play. which is based on factual occurrences, centers around the personal dilemma Keller faces af- ter knowingly selling the Ameri- can Military faulty aircraft pans which eventually cause the deaths ~f2I young pilots. Keller. feeling little remorse or responsibility for the tragedy places the blame on his panner who is then sent to prison. Miller's message is as relevant to- moralize Miller's intentions and act as a tool to deliver his aunct against businesses who make money off of war. "All My Sons" is directed by Leon Van Dyke.
