Dr. Cohen comes to US from the University ofMassachusetlS in Boston, where he worked for twenty-one years: bis last position being associate provost, a central administrative post Previous to that, he had worked in the Dean's office of the College of Arts and Sciences. He has held various po- sitions, such as chairman of the Philosophy' Department and direc- tor of the Law and Justice program at U. Mass. Boston. Dr. Cohen grew up in Minne- sota, and started as an undergradu- ate at the U iii versity of Minnesota. He received his bachelor's degree in Philosophy at the university, and then proceeded toeambis master's lice ethics and be bas just finished a book on police ethics and author- ity. He is also a proud family man; with a wife, a daughter in college, and a son in high school. Enhancement of the Libelll1 Arts division is foremost on the Dean's mind.
