The conference was one of 17 regional meetings that will . culminate In a statewide na- tional conference. ' "What you say here today will be heard by the decision makers in Madison," Thomp- son told about 150 business- persons present, "and 1 am optimistic that many of your ideas will become law." Thomp.on said that priori- ties listed In a 1981 Gover- nor's Conference have re- . celved the attention of law- makers. He emphasized that results are due to bt-parttsan efforls.
