IIIn my opinion," he con- tinued, "It turned out to be more of an activist workshop. It seemed to me to be the kind of thing that taught people how to take over an administration building." Serpe'a senUnments were echoed by Marie Aiello, one of the students who attended only the Friday evening ses- sion, bypassing the Saturday and Sunday offerings. "What they were doing was teaching us how to be radi- cals," Aiello said. "It was a misleading workshop, and I find It really ridiculous that the school would even pay for something of this nature." Jeff Dreher, the only mem- ber of SOC's delegation to at. tend the entire weekend's ac- tivities, disagreed. "I got a lot out of what was presented," he said. With regard to the decision not to return to Parkslde after most of the SOC party had written the workshop off as "militant and activlst," Serpe recognizes the decision as his own. f'The decision was mine, and the reason I decided not to get everyone back here Saturday morning was that I was going to put together a separate workshop for people who didn't want to attend the other one," he said. "The truth of the matter is that It never occured to me to bring everyone back," he added, "because I personally believed that I had the lead- ership ability to take these students through an artema- tlve workshop. SAFE survey can Improve To the Editor: The Parkside Student Gov- ernment Association (PSGA) is proud to annouce that the Spring 1986 Student FacuJly Evaluallons (SAFE) are ready to be distributed. The intention of SAFE is to help students make choices in their class selection. We see the fact that many students drop classes as a waste of students' money. This is only the second SAFE we have complete and it is much improved. How- ever. we know it can be im- proved further. Anyone that is interested in helping us im- prove SAFE is welcome to stop by the PSGA office and inform us of their interest.
