Nehr was raised in Kenosha and atlellded Parkside from 1973 to (975 where he double-majored in mathematics and physics. He also """t a year student teaching in KeIIOIha schools in order to obtain his education certifications. He said lIIat the furthest he has lived from Kencoha was in Madison, where he attended graduate school. For the past three and a half ,.an, Nebr has taught physics at bit alma mater. "When I lirst came (to Parkside to teach), it was a little bit strange; after all, you're colleagues with the people who taught you not that lIlIIIy years before," said Nebr.
